Manifesto: For The Women Who Grow Beautiful Things
Because Success Is What You Say It Is, and You’re Writing Your Own Definition
I'm here for that download ringing in your right ear sometimes, or just for your beautiful brain being here.
All of the vibrant layers of experiences lived laying atop each other might reveal your age and the weight of your soul. And I'm here to still see your magic and the grace you hold with your head always turned up like there's something there.
This is for the ladies who know the terrain on both sides of the fence a bit better than they'll admit to. For the woman deep in rich thoughts that make her tilt her head to one side and smile with her eyes closed, regardless of their nature. The mothers of all manner of creation, because it's what we do without even trying to.
This is for your seasons of heartbreak that test the integrity of your sanity and faith, maybe while you hold down a 9-to-5 that does the exact same. This is for when you don't stop the dreams from coming to you at night, or anytime at all. For the ladies who look at their faces in the mirror for a bit too long after they practice wearing a genuine-looking smile before heading back out.
What you're made of are the stars and seeds of life, even if you cover yourself in a clean uniform or the dirty comforter on your bed.
You still don't know what you want to be when you grow up; admit it. But you know all of the answers to what you don't like, and sometimes it has been yourself. I'm here for you who have loved a piece of art, and sometimes it has been yourself. This is a bouquet of flowers that you can't readily identify, but smells wonderful all the same. You never do know what to do with all of the pretty things that you deserve when you receive them. This is for the ladies who accept them graciously anyway, with a little smile and bright eyes.
You wanted to be a witch as a little girl, and you can't believe that you're learning magic now, even if it's just not the kind you had imagined. This is much, much better. This is much, much harder. And beautiful to behold, or so you've been told.
I'm here for the woman who is guilty of comparing herself to another woman, and never really knows what to make of her discoveries. So she might do it again, just to double-check. This is the taste of the food that you love the most, but don't get to eat as often as you'd like. This is for your new beginnings birthed from a place of hope, even through the pain you were expecting.
It's really 10 months, or however long it takes you, this time. Maybe you should have just gotten a cat, you might think.
I'm here for the ones who've built their businesses around their lives, not the other way around. Who understand that success can look like saying no, like closing the laptop early, like choosing rest over hustle some days.
This is for your sacred morning routine that sometimes starts at noon, because you don't always keep regular hours. For the midnight moments when you question everything, then wake up and do it anyway. I'm here for your 3 AM revelations scribbled on whatever paper you could find. For the ones who build empires from kitchen tables, surrounded by coffee rings and children's artwork, creating magic before school pickup.
I'm here for the woman who's learning that clarity doesn't always come in straight lines, but rather in spirals and cycles and seasons. This is for your permission to do it differently, to break the mold, to create your own definitions of success.
This is for the deep knowing that you're exactly where you need to be, even when that place feels uncomfortable. For the wisdom to understand that growth and ease can coexist, that structure and flow can dance together.
You're building something beautiful here, something that's never existed quite this way before.
And I'm here to witness it, to support it, to celebrate each step of this journey with you.
You are exactly where you belong.
